We are trying again to bring back our YouTube channel. And I hope you’ll join us over there because this time I may actually be consistent. LOL!
I reviewed my priorities for 2023 in light of the social media platforms I was planning to use in 2022. These platforms control a lot of what we post on Instagram and TikTok. We have great, positive, engaged communities on both – but I’ve steadily experienced less and less views or engagement. It’s normal for a lot of us who share content so I realize I’m not alone. And I don’t take it personally because I know how much is controlled by these platforms.
Only I know what I can control. And one thing’s for sure – I own this website and our blog. Therefore, one of my goals for 2023 is to regularly share our content on the blog…and with our email list. If you haven’t seen our email list, you can join at the bottom of the main blog page. (I don’t send newsletters or spammy content. It just notifies me when I share a blog article or a YouTube video.
Recently, I’ve been adding short videos to YouTube Shorts – it’s fairly easy to add that content because we have years of vertical videos to share. Full frame videos take more time. I’ve given myself a goal to start with two of these per month…until I work out the learning curves of reeducating myself with video editing, etc. I’d also like to keep these videos short and sweet – not very long.
Anyway, I added a full frame welcome video to our channel and wanted to share it here…
And I’d like to ask all of you the same question – what would YOU enjoy seeing on our channel? Let me know what you think in the comments here or there. I’d be grateful for the subscribe over there! Already brainstorming great ideas for the next video. It wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be to film or edit. I am NOT comfortable on camera…I’d rather be working in the moment and sharing the installs, decluttering or organizing. Hard to look into the camera to speak…working on it. 🙂
